All active members of the American Academy of Neurological and Orthopaedic Surgeons (AANOS) are eligible for certification through the American Federation for Medical Accreditation (AFMA). AFMA is a separately incorporated entity that has an agreement with the AANOS to provide certain services, such as administration of its certification activities.
