The American Academy of Neurological and Orthopaedic Surgeons strives to support the development of the next generation of Neurosurgeons, Orthopedists and Neurologists. As such, a Scholarship Fund has been established.
The AANOS has a Scholarship Fund that will be used to provide awards to deserving Medical Students, Residents, Fellows and other trainees in the medical field that have made a contribution to the Neurologic and Orthopaedic medical specialties. Award recipients are required to participate in the Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Academy of Neurological and Orthopaedic Surgeons and make a scientific research presentation.
The Academy accepts abstract submissions for presentation at the Annual Scientific Meeting through the International College of Surgeons-US Section website. Scholarship candidates must make their submission(s) through FICS Online once the Call for Presentations has been announced for the upcoming year. Consideration by the Scholarship Committee for cash award(s) and /or other recognition during the annual meeting will be conducted approximately 60 days prior to the meeting. Winner(s) must present during the meeting in order to receive an award. Submissions should be made by no later than 90 days before the annual meeting (if the general submission deadline has passed, please contact Mr. Nick Rebel to obtain a link to the submission page). For 2025 the annual scientific meeting will be held at the North Charleston Marriott in South Carolina on April 11 and 12.
Contact the AANOS office via email at nrebel@aanos.org to confirm your eligibility. You may also call the Chicago office at 312-787-6274.
